As proclaimed in Furukawa Automotive Systems Environmental Challenge 2050, Furukawa Automotive Systems Inc. is conducting activities to protect biodiversity and to create activities that protect nature.

 

The Company’s environmental initiatives are many and varied. In addition to advancing an environmental-impact reduction plan in its business activities, Furukawa Automotive Systems is cultivating the nodding anemone (Anemone cernua), a plant rated “Critically Endangered” on the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List and designated by Shiga Prefecture as a “designated rare wild animal or plant.” The Company also engages in regional cleanup activities. Furukawa Automotive Systems will continue to work with “Shiga, the Lake Prefecture” on vigorous efforts to achieve the SDGs, with particular focus on attaining carbon-neutral status.
